About
Katie Morrison Brill
Katie Morrison Brill graduated summa cum laude from Kutztown University with a BS in Telecommunications; several years later, she received her AAS for Physical Therapist Assistant from Lehigh Carbon Community College. Katie currently works as a PTA in Pennsylvania, where she has resided her entire life. Her creative energy and love of writing has culminated in the publishing of her first illustrated children’s book, Lilly and the Ladybug. Several other children’s books are in the works with plans for publishing.
Katie is a poly-creative artsy-craftsy woman, who enjoys the great outdoors, gardening, traveling, short-term mission trips, and spending time with her family. She has two sons, a granddaughter, five siblings, and a plethora of nieces and nephews. With the belief that we are here to help each other through this life, Katie puts her heart, hands and feet to her faith in Jesus, who is her impetus and her vigor in the journey of life.
Lilly and the Ladybug
Have you ever been lost and unsure how to get home? Join Lilly as she wanders off on a stony path into the woods and becomes lost. With the sun beginning to set, Lilly realizes she is alone and becomes very afraid. How will she ever make it through the night and find her way home?
Soon afterward, Lilly is surprised…. when a Ladybug who sees her crying offers to help her find her way home. Ladybug and her special creature friends work together to help Lilly safely through the night and return back home the next morning.
Can you discover the blessings Lilly receives when she feels scared and alone? What will happen to her? How will she stay warm and safe? Will she be able to see in the dark woods? Hear how Ladybug and her friends were an answer to Lilly’s parent’s prayers for God’s protection and mercy. God has His ways of taking care of us, but it is up to us to recognize His hand.
Imaginative and captivating story with beautiful illustrations
Ordered the hardcover for my 6-year-old and could not be more pleased! The story thrills as Lilly faces real danger and receives surprising help along the way. Lilly and the Ladybug seems an imaginative allegory for life as a child of God under His spiritual protection.
Brill’s lyrical writing style and Stewart’s heart-warming, full-color illustrations are the perfect combination to capture young (and not-so-young) hearts. My girls (6 and 8) and I all enjoy this book and it’s encouraging, uplifting message very much.

Assessing Life: The Acorn & The Mighty, Magnificent Oak
Not many of us recall the acorn when we see the great oak. The seed is planted where it falls, watered by rain, receives sunlight, and secretly it begins to grow. We rarely, if ever, witness the struggle that takes place under the earth as its journey to a mighty,...
